Immense love for baby at 48
In 2003, at the age of 48 years old, I found out that I was expecting.
We already had four children, at that time our oldest daughter was 29 years old.
My sons were 28, 21, and 20 years old.
I was quite afraid of what their reaction would be!
After the initial shock, and them questioning if I was healthy and the baby (girl) was going to be OK, they were great.
It has been quite a experience, one that I do not regret for a moment.
Her siblings are her protectors, and they show her immense love.
We are all so very happy.

TODAY'S BOOK SUGGESTION:
The Joy of Later Motherhood:Your Natural Path to Healthy Babies Even in Your 40s
by Bettina Gordon-Wayne
-- The much-needed antidote to all the negative hype surrounding motherhood at advanced maternal age (which is 35+).
Written by seasoned journalist Bettina Gordon-Wayne—herself a first-time mom at 44 and the third generation of women in her family who did not get the memo that conceiving a baby after 40 is dangerous, if not outright impossible.
It is written from the perspective of the women who actually achieved what millions of women are striving for: naturally conceiving a healthy baby after 35 and, especially, after 40.
Maybe you are worried or are upset. Maybe you doubt that motherhood will ever happen for you. We get it. We have been there. With our stories, we want to lovingly see you through this journey as much as we can.
