My best friend Sheree is 7 1/2 weeks pregnant right now.

She just had her second ultrasound, with a nice strong heartbeat in the 150s.

She turned 48 years old on my son's birthday, which was last week.

Her last little guy is now 18 months.

Oh and I forgot to add - Sheree wasn't really trying to conceive ... which makes this pregnancy all the better...

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

I had a perfectly healthy baby girl at age of 40. I had uncontrolled type 1 diabetes. The day I learned I was pregnant, I took care of Diabetes immediately and went from A1c of 14 to A1c of 6 in just wks. I had my first baby when I was 19 years old. I had 3 other in between. This is proof that babies are gifts from God and there is hope. I thank the good Lord everyday for giving me my children. Don't give up, God has a plan for all of us, if it was meant to be, it will be.
