After DE Quads, she had a girl at 44

Just popping over from the Donor Egg board to see how you are all doing and to share an inspirational story.

I was reading an old Australian Women's Weekly article (Oct 2006) about Australia's first IVF Quads who are 22 years old now.

The story is that Helen and Graham Muir of Perth had the Quads in 1984 following IVF (2nd attempt): 6 eggs fertilized, 2 were irregular and 4 were transferred.

She got pregnant with Quads.

The amazing part was that when the boys were 13 years old and she was 44 she conceived naturally and had a baby girl.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
