He impressed me as perhaps one of the most brilliant doctors I have met in a very long time, and very personable and kind and compassionate as well.

And the VERY first thing he said to me was Your age doesn't bother me in the least.

Then later on he told me he has had women come in to see him up until 50 and have babies.

He feels VERY STRONGLY the line oh your eggs are too old is a bunch of hogwash.

He maintains there is no such thing as old eggs, but what there is, are bodies ravaged over the years with infections - making it almost impossible to house a baby.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
