A month left in this pregnancy at 46
I had my 46th birthday on August 31 and have almost a month left in this pregnancy.
This is only my second; my first was 13.5 years ago at 32. So far, everything has been well.
This time I had more indigestion but not more aches and pains than the first.
We weren't expecting this baby at all and were a little upset at first until we realized what a real miracle it is for me to be pregnant in the first place.
I've gained less weight than with the first although I started out a little heavier.
I don't like having to see the fetal/maternal medicine doctor in addition to the regular OB/GYN. At this age, some are so negative in spite of the relative health of me and the baby.
I'm trusting God for a safe and healthy delivery in about a month.

Rewinding Your Biological Clock: Motherhood Late in Life
by Richard J. Paulson M.D., Judith Sachs
-- In 1996, Dr. Richard Paulson assisted a 63-year-old woman to conceive using in vitro fertilization with a donor egg, and she became the oldest woman in the world to give birth.
This incredible example of how assisted reproductive technologies, or ART, can change the course of nature, raises tough biological, emotional, and ethical issues.
Rewinding Your Biological Clock is a unique exploration of each of these issues, especially the "how-to" of peri- and post-menopausal pregnancy.
Written by a leading fertility specialist and a health educator, this original and daring book rethinks society's most fundamental beliefs about motherhood, aging and life itself.
