You can do whatever it takes to improve the health of your cells like our 45 year old patient who became pregnant with her own eggs from a FROZEN transfer after several previous attempts at IVF did not create a viable pregnancy.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

I was 45 years old when I gave birth to my third daughter in April 2009. I got pregnant naturally. My great-grandmother had my great-aunt at the age of 45 in 1926.
I had three miscarriages in my late 30s (the 3rd was foud to be a down syndrome embryo) before turning to IVF and becoming pregnant on my second cycle. Gave birth to my daughter at 41 and was told by my dr. that it would be my last pregnancy. Changed doctors, did acupuncture, took herbs, minerals gave up alcohol and much more and underwent 7 more IVF cycles all unsuccessful. Took a month off and conceived naturally on holiday and gave birth to my 2nd, daughter at full term 1 month after my 45th birthday. Never give up! And if you can't do it naturally, save up for a donor egg! Motherhood is about the relationship - not the genes!
