Tubes tied, she is 46 & pregnant

Just had to share this. My best friend from interstate (I live in Qld Australia she lives in Vic) just rang me to tell me that she is pregnant. Nothing astounding you say.

Well she had her tubes tied 19 years ago, and she is 46!! She was definitely not TTC [trying to conceive]. She just keeps saying, "I'm 46, I'm 46"!

She is stunned to say the least. In fact, I think she is in shock.

Personally I think it's a lovely surprise. Her other children (all boys) are 22, 21 and 19 years old. Certainly gives me hope!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
