I am 44, tested positive today

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Tuesday, April 08, 2008 | 0 comments

Only one person in my family of 8 know I want to get pregnant. I am 44, newly married and have no children.

After trying to conceive for a year, taking Clomid for 4 months and Dr's basically saying I have no chance of getting pregnant after 40...

I tested positive today and cried with joy! If you are in your 30's or 40's, I think everyone who wants to have a baby, should have other's be positive and support their heart's desire and wish them the best.

My friends have been supportive, which has helped me to have hope... Hope is everything!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
