Is it possible this woman had no idea she could conceive?

I have a friend who continued with her regular monthly cycle until she was 72 years old!

She had no idea she could still conceive until her doctor began to question her about it.

She ended up having a hysterectomy, so as not to risk pregnancy at her age.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

What is the oldest that someone has had a healthy baby without a donor egg?

If I am remembering correctly, the oldest unassisted conception was 59 - with a healthy baby boy. He was 10 years old when I read her story.
