And...........good friend (age 49) is pregnant 12 weeks. Natural. She thought she was in menopause. All is good and tests show healthy baby.
Third child, her last was 13 years ago. Different father. Her OB does not even have her as high risk, she's just going to see her a little more often. It CAN happen!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

I got pregnant at 47. Naturally. I was scared to death but at the same time intrigued. How in the world!!?? I take care of myself, I eat healthy foods and I exercise EVERYDAY...maybe this had something to do with it? I'm sad to say that at around 11 weeks I began to lose the baby. An ultrasound showed no heartbeat. It was rough going.
