I am pregnant with my 2nd child at 43

I'm 43 years old, and have a son who is 20 months old and I am pregnant now with my second child - due to deliver in July, 2005.

Age is just a state of mind. If you feel young, then you are young.

My husband and I tried for 6 years to conceive before we became pregnant with our first child. I have not yet run into anyone who has told me that I am 'too old' to be having a baby.

My son has brought us so much happiness and I couldn't imagine my life without him. My husband and I will be doubly blessed with the birth of our second child this July.

Just be content with your situation and all your friends and family will be envious when they see your happiness after you have your beautiful new child.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
