I am 44 years old, and 34 weeks pregnant. My husband is turning 55 tomorrow, and is stationed in Iraq with the Army National Guard. This was a "surprise", but we both believe God gave us this little boy, to be named Caleb, as a blessing. We are both very physically healthy and active, and we also have a sense of humour! We would have to, to take the razzing we've endured.
I have a 17 and 12 year old from my 1st marriage, and my husband has two adult children. This is going to turn our lives upside down, but I am looking forward to it nevertheless. And I hope my husband manages to coincide his 2 week leave-time with the birth of the baby!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
