We just found out we're pregnant at 44

We just found out tonight we're pregnant at 44 years old! We have one miracle little girl who's is 2 3/4! (I only count, because I can't wait to see the end to the terrible twos!). (Miracle because after 2 failed IVF [in vitro fertilization] cycles, I was told my eggs were too old!).

I have always prayed that she wouldn't be an only child, since I love my siblings. I know it is very early (I'm probably barely 5 weeks), but after peeing on 2 HPTs [home pregnancy test] (one was a store brand and of course I didn't trust the positive) I know its real.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
