My last child was born when I was 44

I have 8 biological children and I am 50, I am in a new marriage of 3 years and have had a hard time conceiving and carrying the pregnancy to term.

My last child was born when I was 44, at home, no complications or fertility help. But I just had a miscarriage this past summer at 7 weeks and I hope and pray that I will be one of these women that I have read about. I still have a period every 28 days and have no signs of menopause but, no luck yet.

Thank you so much for doing this site. I have been looking for a site like this for 3 years for encouragement and strength and testimonials to help me and I totally agree with everyone here, and believe what you all have to say and thank you for not being judgemental.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
