I too am 46 and pregnant... My baby is not due until July... I'm just starting down this road again, after 19 years. I have 3 boys... Ages 24, 21 and 19. In fact, my 24 year old son is expecting his first child in May... His brother/sister will be younger than his own child. Oh lordy!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

i think that is so cool- that your youngest is 19! wow. i am in awe of all you wonderful women. i am finally in a real relationship, with a man who is loving and kind. this is not how it was for the first seventeen years, when i had my five children. my bf has four children from previous two marriages: oldest child is 22, then there are twins, 5 and the youngest one is 3. so if it should happen, it's not like we're starting over, he's already done that. I'd be starting over- my youngest is 18!! i don't know if we're ready for this, although we're very family oriented.
we do alot of 'if only' thinking. i really didn't think that it (PG) was a problem. i guess you could say we're irresponsible (cause its all unprotected and wonderful- i hate condoms, etc.), b/c i figure it's not going to happen to me since i am 50!! after reading this, heck! i may be singing a different tune in a month or two. oivey!!!
thanks for all your wonderful candor!
