My husband and I (age 44) are looking forward to our first baby (for both of us) Nov. 2005! We got married in '03, second marriage for both of us. We wanted to try to have a baby right away.

I, unfortunately, had a miscarriage at age 42 which was difficult. But we were encouraged by my doctor, family, and friends to keep trying. We are very happy for our upcoming bundle of joy but we are waiting to announce the news in May when I'm further along.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
