I am 43 and 23 weeks pregnant. I actually got pregnant about 6 weeks before my 43rd birthday. I had a CVS [Chorionic villus sampling] and a Level 2 [ultrasound], and everything looks fine with this one!

I am not a health nut either! I did do two months of Clomid (50 mg) this past time, and it helped. Someone in my high school class also just had a baby, and my cousin's wife had one at 44 without any fertility aid.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
