I am 44 years old, soon to be 45 and was wondering how many of you are my age, and pregnant? I am about 5 and a half weeks, and am not feeling very symptomatic...

I have a 5 year old and a 21 month old and at first was not thrilled about this, but after 2 weeks of digesting the situation, I would like to have this baby...

I had 3 miscarriages between the two children, so needless to say, I am worried... I will be going in for the fetal heart check with abdominal ultrasound on Tuesday...

Twice before I have seen "no heartbeat" ...horrible feeling... Barb

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
