You know (here is another story!) the Hoichol Indians who live in a remote area of Mexico have babies right up until about age 60.

And births over age 60 are not unheard of.
The reason is they have not been exposed to the media, and the women never heard their eggs get old.

That really made me think about how much we are affected simply by what we have been told, whether it is true or not -- if we believe it is true, it will be true for us.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
