She gave birth to a healthy baby girl at 48

I ran into a client today, that I have not seen in over 2 years. I photographed her daughter's wedding.

Anyway, she is almost 49 and 5 months ago she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. It was a total surprise. She had been trying for 10 years with her new husband, and they had given up. Needless to say she is "over the moon". I told her how beautiful she looked as a new mother.

She has given me hope! I hope this story will give you hope as well.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
