Hi, I just wanted to remind us 'geriatrics' who are TTC [trying to conceive], that my grandmother had her last child -- au natural -- at 41.
My cousin's grandmother had her last child at 44, all natural!! Each of my parents have 10 siblings in their family, and back in the early part of the 20th century, women were having children into their 40's frequently.
It just didn't become a major topic, because these same women were raising 10 other kids!! They had no idea when they ovulated (or what that was??), what their hormone levels were, or when to time sex. Yet, they were having babies just the same!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
