Being treated for menopause, found she was pregnant at 43

Years ago I worked with a woman who was 43, she had been being treated for menopause for about 6 months. She put on a few pounds, had sweats, missed her period. One night while laying in bed facing her husband's back, he suggest to her that she have her doctor do a pregnancy test.

She couldn't figure out why he would suggest a thing like that... She had never had kids... He had 3 from a past marriage... All grown up. She ask him why... He rolled over and asked if she felt her tummy move... She, of course, had... But thought it was just indigestion... She went to the doctor the next day and... You guessed it... She was pregnant... 7 months... And was a nervous wreak... Only 2 months to prepare. They had a very healthy baby boy.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
